An interesting game for Mountaineers (3-2) which hosted in Cape 4th placed Zebras (1-3). Third ranked Mountaineers managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. WC Mountaineers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zebras' 26. WC Mountaineers forced 21 NC Zebras turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when WC Mountaineers made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by NC Zebras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Stephen Gabriel (205-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Asiphamandla Mayi (188-1992) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Mndeni Mdluli answered with 28 points and 5 rebounds for NC Zebras. Mountaineers have a solid series of three victories in a row. WC Mountaineers moved-up to second place. NC Zebras at the other side keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with S.Panthers.

This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Mountaineers (3-2) 83-56. The former international center Stephen Gabriel (205-1991) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Christopher Gabriel chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. At the losing side Phenyo Gomba responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Eagles' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
